Hospitalisation

Animals may require hospitalisation for a number of reasons including treatment for illness, recovery from surgical procedures or even just spending the day with us so that diagnostic procedures can be performed. Our hospital ward has pumps for intravenous fluid therapy, heating pads when required and various sized cages with soft bedding provided to ensure your pet is kept comfortable and warm during their stay. When your pet is in hospital they are monitored regularly by vets and nurses. Although the clinic is not staffed overnight, the veterinarian on call will arrange to check on animals during the night should they require it.

For very sick animals which require 24 hour intensive care we recommend referral to a veterinary critical care clinic which is staffed around the clock. There are several 24 hour emergency centres located in Melbourne and surrounding areas.
